First Call for Proposals | Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme

IPA Romania-Serbia

The first call for proposals was launched on 15 September 2015 for the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme, with a budget of over 50 mil. euro and the deadline for submitting projects on 15 January 2016.

From the budget of the current call, 22 mil. euro will be dedicated to strategic projects, with the deadline for submitting on 15 March 2016.

At the same time, the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme was launched on 15 September 2015. It continues the financing of cross-border cooperation in the border area between Romania and Serbia for the 2014-2020 programming period, using the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II) implemented by the European Union and the governments of the two partner states.
The total budget of the programme is 88.124.999 euro, from which 74.906.248 euro represents the European Union funding. In the 2014-2020 period there are 4 priority axes for projects, in the following fields:
– Employment promotion and basic services strengthening for an inclusive growth – 18 mil. euro,
– Environmental protection and risk management – 21 mil. euro,
– Sustainable mobility and accessibility – 21 mil. euro,
– Attractiveness for sustainable tourism – 18 mil. euro.
The eligible area of the Programme is formed by Timiș, Caraș Severin and Mehedinți counties (from Romania) and Severno Banatski, Srednje Banatski, Južno Banatski, Braničevski, Borski, Podunavski districts (from Serbia).
Romania continues to act as Managing Authority (through the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration), the National Authority being established within the Serbian European Integration Office – Serbian Government. The Joint Secretariat is organized in Timisoara within the Regional Office for Cross-border Cooperation Timisoara, assisted by the Joint Secretariat Antenna in Vršac, Serbia. The audit at Programme level will be performed by the Audit Authority from the Court of Accounts in Romania. The certifying attributions will be performed by the MA.
